Introducing Me

As traditional first blog posts go, this is an introduction to your lovely author, Elena Sieverding.

Hello lovely people! Whether you know me already or just stumbled upon my blog, y'all better buckle in and get ready for the Lena knowledge that's about to be dropped. Also shoutout to anyone who read the title "Introducing Me" and thought of the Nick Jonas song from Camp Rock 2. You guys know what's up.

My name is Elena Sieverding and I am a sophomore at Iowa State University!

I am currently majoring in Event Management!

Along with being involved in the Event Management Club at Iowa State University, I am also involved in intramural volleyball and basketball. I am the Vice President of Marketing for my sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta! Being a part of these organizations have impacted me greatly my first year at college, but I think the organization with the most impact on me would be Cornerstone's college ministry, The Salt Company.

What is the Salt Company?

No, I'm not referring to the seasoning that pairs with pepper. The Salt Company is the college ministry created by Cornerstone Church located in Ames, Iowa. We are a baptist Christian church and organization. I can honestly say that I am a better person since becoming involved with Cornerstone Church. I could go on and on about what the church and Jesus has done for me, but I will save that lengthy explanation for another post.

Plans for the future

For my immediate future, I am going back to Iowa State University this fall. I am planning on going to Dubai with my Event Management class this winter for two weeks. For the spring, I am planning on studying abroad in Glasgow, Scotland. You can say I've got the travel bug. I would like to go to every country and experience the different cultures, but I also trust in the Lord to send me wherever He sees fit.
